ICT702 Excel 2003 Summarising data
Description
Excel is a very powerful tool for quickly and easily manipulating and analysing large amounts of numerical data. It is perfect for analysing class marks departmental marks attendance figures etc. You are going to use a workbook containing the Maths Standard Grade results from a department in a secondary school which contains about 200 entries. This size of spreadsheet makes it difficult to summarise data. You will use several techniques to summarise the data: a simple subtotal and group and outline using a summary worksheet and using a pivot table. Later you will apply the skills learned in a much larger worksheet of about 1500 entries with whole school Standard Grade results. Although this spreadsheet is much larger the skills are exactly the same.
