Description
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. When using spreadsheets, with large amounts of data, it may often be easier to view the information graphically. The Chart Wizard in Excel will allow you to present data entered into the worksheet in a visual form using a variety of graph types e.g. Bar, Line, Pie and even Doughnut. This opportunity will build upon the skills covered in 'Excel 2000: Getting Started with spreadsheets', developing the essential skills needed to create charts and graphs from your data. The opportunity will take you step-by-step through changing the format, style and size of the graph as well as exporting it to other applications.
Content:
- create different types of graph from your data
- add and remove titles and labels
- change the colours of the background, bars, slices and pie sections
- change the graph type after it has been created
- change the data source for a graph
- resize and move a graph
- export the graph to other applications, e.g. Microsoft Word 2003
