ICT690 Access 2003 An overview of relational databases
Description
This unit will attempt to touch on the subject of relational database design. While the subject is too large to completely cover in a unit of this size it is important that you are aware of some of the basics. Design is the key to creating a database that will be easily expanded in the future. This unit will use 3 different examples of relational databases and take you step-by-step from thinking about the scenario to specifying the tables and relationships.

Be able to open an existing database and investigate its structure

Be able to identify primary and foreign keys for the each table
Be able to identify the appropriate relationships between two tables
